Kaleidoscope III

June 7 - August 9

Burl Art Gallery

I am pleased to participate in the third installment of “Kaleidoscope” at the Burl Art Gallery. Each year, Burl holds four juried exhibits based on a very general theme—this year, “Kaleidoscope.”

“The kaleidoscope's ability to transform broken glass into beautiful patterns can represent the ability to put things back together. Art inspires us to build a better world. It causes us to long for ‘something more’ and inspires us to pursue it. Art is proof that ‘something more’ is out there because that ‘something more’ seems to loom behind every artists creation. In this way, art has the potential to be very powerful.”

My mixed media work, “Defiance” (30 x 30) is hanging at the Burl with about 70 other works. The Artists’ Reception will be held on August 2, 5-8 pm. The Burl is a woman-run nonprofit gallery in St Paul’s Lowertown, across from CHS Field, and open every weekend, Saturdays and Sundays 10 am – 4 pm. 308 Prince Street, St Paul; www.burlartgallery.org
