Art-a-Whirl

The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District is home to the biggest art crawl in the country, Art-a-Whirl®, with studios open throughout the area for a long weekend every May. Lots of original art for sale, plus demos, classes, live music, and more. You can check out the details (events, artists, maps) on the Northeast Artists Association (NEMAA) website, www.nemaa.org.

At Casket Arts, we will again hold the basement Speakeasy, raising funds for the Northeast Arts District with a cash bar. There will be food trucks, live music (mostly jazz) throughout the whole weekend this year in the 4th floor lounge; Groveland Chocolates and Coffee Cart are back, and there will be special events, demos, and more throughout the weekend.
